Passionate about flowers
Ruby Blooms is the passion project of agricultural journalist Ruth Schwager.
I’ve been a gardener for many years, whether it was taking care of the very long run of agapanthus at my first rental at the age of 19, or creating a simple cottage garden with free plants at another - I’ve always loved gardening and getting my hands dirty.
After a few years creating garden arrangements for friends and family members I was encouraged by them, along with some gardening buddies, to establish a micro flower farm based on my small block at Manilla, NSW.
Sharing a love for flowers
Ruby Blooms specialises in dahlias and ranunculus, but we also grow fragrant roses and a range of perennials and annuals to create seasonal garden arrangements.
We deliver our blooms to florists in Tamworth and can also supply event blooms and DIY buckets so if you like playing with flowers like I do, you can create your own arrangements.
And if you’re keen to start your gardening journey, we have a selection of seeds available each season, along with dahlia tubers (spring) and ranunculus corms (summer). Limited cut flower seedlings are available throughout the year.
We also love sharing our gardening knowledge and we’re happy to run small private gardening and flower arranging workshops by request - just get in touch if you’d like to organise a day out at Ruby Blooms.
